ABOUT

We are pleased to present "Naka-Ima 2021 "Here and Now"", a solo exhibition of Ai Futaki from October 12 (Tue) to 28 (Thu), 2021.

Ai Futaki
Aquatic Expressionist
Ambassador of the Sea for the Ministry of the Environment's "Mori-sato-river-umi Project
She has set two new Guinness World Records for bare diving. As a one-of-a-kind aquatic expressionist, both in Japan and abroad, she is active on the world stage as a bridge between the underwater and the land.
She dives with her own lungs and without using air cylinders, just like marine mammals, becoming a member of their group by blending in with them, expressing herself as they are, sometimes as a subject and sometimes as a photographer. This time, the world is seen through the eyes of Ai Futaki.
We are part of nature and we live with nature.
TEDxTokyo speaker, 2012 Jounetsu Tairiku "Ai Futaki" World Media Festival Gold Prize, NHK Special
NHK's special program "Precious Blue" has become a series of programs. In recent years, she has collaborated with ISSEY MIYAKE and world-renowned photographers.
As a photographer, she will hold a solo exhibition "Chukkyo" in 2019 in Madrid, Spain, and in 2020 in Ginza, Tokyo.
