Masayuki Yogi
Born in Naha City, Okinawa in 1974.
Graduated from Okinawa Prefectural University of Arts in 1988 with a major in design.
After working as a graphic designer at an advertising agency in Tokyo for 6 years, he returned to Okinawa when he was 29 years old.
He has been drawing his own "Ryukyu Illustration" inspired by Bingata, mother-of-pearl inlay, Kagee, Ukiyoe, and Jomon earthenware.
In January 2017, he opened an art gallery "soranoe" in Okinawa City, hoping to revitalize the Okinawan art scene.
In addition to presenting his own works, he also opens the gallery to other artists.
In November of the same year, he published a picture book without words: "Onnenesanpo".
He is expanding the scope of his activities in and outside of the prefecture.
