Artist's Message
When I attended swimming lessons as a student, breaststroke was my specialty. I would scramble and dive through the surface of the water every time I took a breath.
The light dances on the boundary of less than 1mm, transforming an ordinary scene into a world I have never seen before.
The intense sunlight and azure blue sky repeatedly fuse and separate, disappearing into the white sand.
Is this a paradise or an illusion? I let my body fall into the endlessly transparent waves, and repeatedly
After three years of diving, what emerged was not manta rays or brightly colored tropical fish, but the waves themselves, which constantly change their appearance.
The result was not manta rays or colorful tropical fish, but the waves themselves, which constantly change their shape.
Artist Profile
Born in Tokyo, 1975.
Graduated from Meisei University Graduate School of Science and Engineering in 1999.
Graduated from Digital Hollywood as a VFX creator in 2001.
