Banquet II

We are pleased to present "Banquet Exhibition II," a retrospective exhibition of Shoichi Minoura from September 12 (Tue) to 16 (Sat), 2017. Shoichi Minoura, who until last year had continued his artistic activities while teaching as a professor in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Tokyo University of the Arts, sadly passed away at the age of 67 the month following his retirement exhibition in April 2016. With the cooperation of his wife, Fumiko Minoura, and members of the Design Department of Tokyo University of the Arts, 25 works will be exhibited in this retrospective exhibition. Characters play with expressions of nothingness. And beautifully and carefully drawn nature and still life. Although human beings are not perfect creatures, this exhibition is like a hymn to them.
