From Monday, April 23 to Saturday, April 28, 2018, we are holding an exhibition of Akira Asano's paintings. Akira Asano's works, which are the culmination of the past year, are based on the theme of "people," such as men and women, family, the people we admire, and the potential that people have. (*The artist will be present on April 23, 27, and 28)

SOLO EXHIBITIONS

1959 Born in Kokura, Kitakyushu City
1988 Traveled to more than 30 countries around the world, mainly in Asia and Europe.
1989 Completed the graduate school of Tokyo National University of Fine Arts and Music
1990 Exhibited at the National Painting Association (since then, won the Yasuda Kasai Foundation Encouragement Prize and other prizes 3 times)
1991 Held first solo exhibition (since then, 45 exhibitions in Tokyo Ginza, NYC, Koriyama, Aizu Wakamatsu, Matsuyama, Oita, etc.)
1992 Awarded a special prize at the JAPAN Grand Prize Exhibition, and received a scholarship to stay and work in his studio in Paris, France.
2002 "The World of Akira Asano. Organized by Kitakata City Museum of Art
2012 Utsukushima Japan-China Contemporary Art Exchange Exhibition, Shanghai University Art Academy Gallery, China
2017 Marine day Art Show, The Nippon Gallery, NYC, USA

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
Lecturer at the Open University of Japan, lecturer at art museum courses, juror at art exhibitions, essay writer, etc.
