The third exhibition of Hirohisa Saito's prints will be held this week through July 28 (Sat).
Saito's unique techniques, developed over the past 40 years of working with prints, will be on display in this exhibition, along with his long-standing series of works on nuclear power plants, Buddhist anecdotes, and the food chain. We hope you will take this opportunity to visit the exhibition.

Artist's Message
I exhibited works inspired by the influence of "ha-mu" (to eat) on the goshawk that lives in Fukushima, which is at the top of the food chain, as well as works focusing on "now," "present," and "these days. The works that personify characters from the Buddha's anecdotes were created as a way of looking at myself. The works are a combination of analog and digital, a technique I have been working on for a long time, but this time, I used digital more than analog. The effect of the layers of ink created by running the print through the printer several times, rather than printing only once, gives the prints a different look from the analog prints, which makes them more appealing.
