On July 8th (Monday), ART FOR THOUGHT Gallery + Cafe & Bar in Ginza, Tokyo, hosted a magical night of music and dance in collaboration with the Balinese style resort furniture exhibition "Great Escape Resort". The event titled "Bamboo Gamelan & Rindic Sounds with Balinese Dance Performance" will be a mesmerizing experience that transported the audience to the tropical paradise of Bali. The evening will start with the enchanting sound of bamboo gamelan, played by Motoko Sakurada, leader of gamelan group Terang Bulan, and composer. Her unique style of gamelan, which blends traditional Balinese music with her own original compositions, will leave the audience spellbound. The performance was accompanied by the beautiful movements of Chizuko Koizumi, a Balinese dancer who studied at the Indonesian National University of Arts, Department of Dance, and now presides over the Balinese dance school/project Cipta Bumi. Satoshi Kasuga, an artist, video and audio artist, and researcher of visual anthropology, provided the background video and music that complemented the performance perfectly. The audience will be captivated by the seamless combination of music, dance, and visuals, which creates a truly magical and unforgettable experience. The event will leave the audience feeling refreshed and rejuvenated, having experienced the tropical paradise of Bali right here in Tokyo.
