Artist's Profile
Born in 1980 in Taiwan and raised in the United States.
He received his BFA in painting from the University of Alaska in 2004 and his MFA in studio art from the University of Hawaii in 2010.
Artist's Message
Relationship - according to my observation and understanding - is fluid and dynamic. Inspired by my childhood immigration from Taiwan to the U.S., and my arrival in Japan 5 years ago, I have been trying to communicate with people through art, and I wish to convey my message to the world through my artwork by reflecting on my own experiences and perspectives.
In the U.S., she mainly created works about human relationships in the virtual and real worlds, and since coming to Japan, her main theme has been the fusion of nature and human beings. This series of works will express his yearning for connection in contemporary society, especially human relationships in digital households and their re-harmonization with nature.
