From June 24 (Monday) to July 6 (Saturday), 2019, we are pleased to present "GARDEN," an exhibition by Kumi Nakajima and Ayano Kawabe. We hope you will enjoy the works of each of the two artists, which are full of their own charm.
There is no other word that is as common as the word GARDEN, yet generates such a wide variety of associations.
The word "GARDEN" is so common, yet it creates a wide variety of associations.
The variety of styles, access, uses, and even the seasonal changes in appearance, are all part of the GARDEN.

Glass, like the word "garden," has infinite possibilities
from realistic forms to abstract expressions.

SOLO EXHIBITIONS
■ Profile of Kumi Nakajima
Moved to the United States in 1996. He encounters glass art influenced by the Studio Glass Movement.
While studying at a university, he participated in several workshops at the Pilchuck Glass School and the Corning Museum of Art.
After graduating from graduate school, he continues his artistic activities while teaching glass art at local universities and high schools.
In 2014, he returned to Japan.
