Art for Thought, located in the heart of Ginza, Tokyo, is thrilled to announce the upcoming solo exhibition of Mark Williams, a talented artist based in New York City. From May 21 to May 28, 2016, visitors will have the chance to experience Mark’s stunning artwork firsthand.
Mark’s artwork is truly unique and captivating, reflecting his keen eye for shapes, patterns, and colors. His artistic process is intuitive, deliberate, and intentional, resulting in finished pieces that are both frontal and spatially dynamic.
Born in Pittsburgh in 1950, Mark studied at North Texas State University and the Whitney Museum of American Art before settling in New York City. His artwork has been recognized with grants from the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Albers Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Mark’s pieces can be found in numerous collections, including the Yale University Art Gallery and the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
Visitors to Art for Thought will have the opportunity to see Mark’s most recent works, which were displayed at his solo exhibition in Zurich at Galerie Wenger.
