ABOUT
ART FOR THOUGHT is proud to host the Rikuzentakata Exhibition "Create the Future". The exhibition was organized in partnership with Aid TAKATA, an NPO working to support the recovery of Rikuzentakata City, which was severely affected by the Great East Japan Earthquake. The exhibition features 18 works created by children in grades 1 to 6 who live in Rikuzentakata, with the theme of "Future Rikuzentakata." We carefully selected the works that best reflected the children's thoughts and feelings about the future of their hometown, and we were honored to display them at our gallery. We hope that through this exhibition, we were able to raise awareness and support for the ongoing recovery efforts in Rikuzentakata.
The Rikuzentakata Exhibition will be held this year in May. This exhibition was held with the support of Aid TAKATA, an NPO active in Rikuzentakata City and Rikuzentakata, hoping for the early recovery of Rikuzentakata City, Iwate Prefecture, which suffered great damage in the Great East Japan Earthquake.
