ABOUT

ART FOR THOUGHT is pleased to present Takuya Sasaki's solo exhibition “Inner Chimera.” Since his childhood, Takuya Sasaki has been drawing powerful animals that inspire viewers and encourage them to live life to the fullest. The process of creating these paintings has involved a great deal of trial and error and repetition, and Sasaki's work shows that he has faced his own struggles, doubts, and chaos in the process of creating his art.

We humans wear the masks of numerous animals to hide our true intentions, and we also have numerous animals in our hearts. In today's society, where communication is demanded to be strong and clear, we may be able to tolerate each other by imagining ambiguity and contradiction within ourselves.

In this exhibition, in addition to his new animal works, studies will be exhibited for the first time in his career. We hope that the expressive qualities and inner nature of the artist's work will help viewers to imagine themselves and others. We hope you come and see his exhibition.

BIOGRAPHY

He was born with so many layers of umbilical cord wrapped around his body that he could not produce a birth voice, but was later found to be autistic.

He has loved drawing and clay works since he was a child, and has continued to create many paintings and sculptures, mainly using animals and people as motifs.

Since the age of 20, he has held solo exhibitions every year and has participated in numerous museum and group exhibitions.

Many of his works are permanently exhibited in places such as Starbucks Coffee and City Bakery.
